Originally from Slovenia, the grape variety is widespread in the province of Trieste and Slovenia. Nowadays, after the Malvasia Istriana, it is the most cultivated white grape variety in the province of Trieste. Used exclusively for wine making.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Standard clone of medium vigor, good and constant production. Good fertility. Suitable for the soil not very fertile and not very fresh of Karst and Istria. Recommended training systems: double inverted with mixed prunings. Biotype sensitive to the main cryptogamic diseases and with an excellent resistance to the wind.
