ORIGIN

 

Originally from Romania, the grape variety was obtained by crossing Cardinal x Regina. Currently it is grown in Romania, Greece, South Italy and other Mediterranean countries. Used exclusively for the table grape market.

LEAF

Large, pentagonal, open U-shaped peziolar sinus, open upper lateral sinuses. Medium teeth.

CLUSTER

Big, pyramidal, compact.

GRAPE

Big, cylindrical, slightly pruinose and consistent skin, green - yellow colour.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE

Standard clone of high vigor, high and constant production. High fertility. Suitable for different types of soils. Recommended training systems: expanded with short prunings. Very early biotype, evidence incompatibility phenomena if grafted on Kober 5BB. Excellent resistance to transport and for conservation.
