Originally from Friuli Venezia Giulia, of which it is an autochthonous grape variety, it is currently grown only in the area of origin and scarcely in the provinces of Friuli and Veneto. Used exclusively for wine making, it is usually mixed with other grapes to obtain a more dry, fine and delicate wine.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Italian clone medium vigorous, good and constant production. Regular fertility. Suitable for hilly soils well exposed. Recommended training systems: medium expansion with medium - long prunings. Biotype sensitive to moth, resistant to botrytis due to the resistant skin. In soils too fertile gives big quantities of production but losing in quality of wine.
