Originally from the village of Tramin, the current Termeno, the grape variety finds its growing area in Trentino Alto Adige and currently, to a limited extent, in Friuli Venezia Giulia and in the Oltrepò Pavese. Used exclusively for wine making, it gives rise to a wine with a straw yellow colour, intensely aromatic rose, very elegant.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Constituted by the Geisenheim Institute, German clone of medium vigor, good and constant production. Good fertility. Suitable for hilly and plain soils on stony soils. Recommended training systems: medium expansion with medium - long prunings. Aromatic biotype, very sensitive to iron chlorosis, good resistance to winter frost. In hill it resists also in rather cold latitudes.
