Originally from Friuli Venezia Giulia, the native grape variety has always been a symbol for Istria and Karst areas. Currently it is grown in the province of Udine, Gorizia and Trieste. Used exclusively for wine making.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Italian clone of good vigor, good and constant production. Good fertility. Suitable for the less fertile and not very fresh soils of the Karst and Istria. Recommended training systems: double inverted with mixed prunings. Biotype sensitive to late frost, wind and drought.
