Originally from France, more precisely from the Bordeaux area, it has found diffusion throughout the world. In Italy it is cultivated mainly in Veneto and in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Used exclusively for wine making, it gives rise to a white wine of golden yellow colour, with intense aromas of ripe fruit, slightly aromatic.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Italian clone vigorous, medium and constant production. Medium fertility. Suitable for hilly, dry, rich in skeleton. Recommended training systems: spurred cordon and GUYOT with medium - long prunings. Biotype from the posture of the erect vegetation, sensitive to botrytis, to the spring frosts and to the drought. Due to its precocity and low acidity it fears too hot environments, where it can lose its typical aroma.
