Originally from Friuli Venezia Giulia, more precisely in the provinces of Udine and Gorizia, the native grape variety is now widespread. Used exclusively for wine making, both in purity and in blends with other local grape varieties to which it adds freshness and in recent years in the sparkling version.

Medium, roundish, almost whole, open peziolar sinus, open upper lateral sinuses. Quite evident teeth.

Medium, cylindrical, compact.

Medium - big, almost spherical, pruinose and thin skin, golden yellow colour with characteristic dot at the apex.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Italian clone with splendid vigor, good and constant production. Regular fertility. Suitable for hilly, sunny, ventilated and dry soils. Recommended training systems: medium expansion with long prunings. Biotype subject to infertility and botrytis phenomena in particularly wet vintages. The late sprouting allows to escape the spring frosts.
