Originally from Veneto, the grape variety is widespread in the provinces of Treviso and Padua. Currently it is also cultivated in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Used exclusively for wine making.
LEAF
Medium, pentagonal, trilobed, open U-shaped peziolar sinus, closed upper lateral sinuses, shallow U-shaped lateral sinuses. Convex teeth. In autumn the leaves take on a red colouration unlike the Raboso Veronese where the leaf becomes yellow.

Medium, cylindrical - pyramidal, winged, compact.

Medium, spherical, pruinose and thick skin, blue - black colour.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Italian clone of high vigor, abundant and constant production. Good fertility. Suitable for alluvial, deep soils. Recommended training systems: expanded with short prunings. Biotype tolerant to winter cold, but sensitive to spring frosts due to early sprouting.
