OpenFR 52-86CloseFR 52-86

ORIGIN

Originally from France, the grape variety originally grown in Burgundy and Champagne has spread to Germany and other wine growing areas of the world; in Italy it is grown mainly in Trentino Alto Adige and Lombardy; is expanding its diffusion in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto. It is the founder of the Pinot family from which the Pinot Blanc and Pinot Grigio are derived by mutation. Used exclusively for wine making, either in purity or in blends with other red grapes, if vinified in white, it can serve as a base for sparkling wine or in Rosé version in purity or in blend with Prosecco.
