Originally from Friuli Venezia Giulia, the native grape variety has risked extinction, but still today it is cultivated mainly in the municipalities of Rosazzo, Buttrio and Premariacco. Used exclusively for wine making, both in purity and mixed with other local grapes. It is a deserving wine with a very delicate, savory, soft and elegant taste.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Italian clone of medium vigor, poor but constant production. Poor fertility. Suitable for clay and limestone soils. Recommended training systems: GUYOT, SYLVOZ, CAPPUCCINA with green prunings. Ancient biotype with a bushy aspect, made of thin branches very sensitive to the oidium which greatly reduces its production. Resistant to winter cold and spring frost.
