Originally from Syria, perhaps brought to Italy from Greece in the Middle Ages, the grape variety diffused in the Triveneto is today also known with the name of Moscato Sirio and in Central Europe as Gelber Muskateller. Used exclusively for wine making, although rarely can be used for direct consumption. The wine obtained has a light golden colour with a pleasant muscat aroma.
