Originally from the province of Siena, the grape variety is characteristic of Abruzzo viticulture. Currently it is grown in the regions of Central-South Italy. Used exclusively for wine making.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Italian clone of medium vigor, medium and constant production. Good fertility. Suitable for deep and well exposed soils. Recommended training systems: medium expansion with medium - short prunings. Biotype subject to green millerandage, excellent resistance to spring frosts, prefers warm and dry climates.
