Originally from the province of Modena, the grape variety is grown in the province of Modena and Reggio Emilia, is one of the most classic Emilian Lambruschi. Its selection comes from the bright vinous red color of the stalk and the pedicles. Used exclusively for wine making, it gives rise to an intense ruby red wine tending to black, slightly acidic and harmonious. It is produced in the sweet and sparkling types.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Italian clone of good vigor, medium and constant production. Good fertility. Suitable for hilly, clayey and calcareous soils. Recommended training systems: GDC or not too expanded with short prunings. Normal biotype tolerant to major cryptogamic diseases, with good resistance to adverse climatic conditions.
