Originally from the 1930s, the grape variety was made up of Prof. Manzoni at the Istituto Tecnico Agrario di Conegliano, crossing Riesling Renano x Pinot Bianco (Incrocio 6.0.13). It spread first in the province of Treviso and then in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Used exclusively for wine making, in purity to produce quality wines, quiet, dry and for sparkling wines both in purity and as a blend thanks to its contribution of acidity.
