ORIGIN

 

Originally from Greece, the grape variety is widespread in the provinces of Verona and Vicenza. Currently it is also cultivated in other provinces of Veneto. Used exclusively for wine making, in purity a wine is obtained with a perfumed and harmonious discharge straw yellow colour.

 

LEAF

 

Medium - large, elongated, pentagonal, pentalobate, open V-U peziolar sinus, V-shaped lateral sinuses, V-shaped lateral sinuses. Pronounced teeth with a wide base.

 

CLUSTER

 

Big, long, cylindrical, winged, loose.

 

GRAPE

 

Medium, spheroidal, pruinose but not very thick skin, golden yellow colour.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE

 

Italian clone of remarkable vigor, abundant and constant production. Low fertility. Suitable for soils fertile, loose and good exposure. Recommended training systems: pergola or arbor with long prunings. Biotype sensitive to winter cold, flavescence and virosis.
