Originally from Piedmont, the grape variety is widespread in the province of Alessandria, Novara and Tortona. Currently it is also cultivated in the province of Verona. Used exclusively for wine making.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Italian clone of high vigor, high and constant production. Good fertility. Suitable for different types of soils as long as not wet and fertile. Recommended training systems: medium expansion with medium prunings. Biotype sensitive to botrytis, prefers dry climates and good hill exposure where gives the best productions.
