Originally from Germany, the grape variety was discovered in an ancient vineyard in the Rhineland - Palatinate region. Currently, thanks to the studies and research carried out by the Geisenheim Institute, the variety initially registered as a new Chardonnay clone, in 2019 it was recognized in some of the most important European countries as a new variety of wine grapes. Used exclusively for wine making and production of quality wines, in purity gives life to a Rosé with unparalleled aromas and a brilliant pink colour. Today in Italy we are the first and only nurseries to have in cultivation this new selection of Chardonnay.

COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Constituted by the Institute of Geisenheim, vigorous German clone, medium and constant production. Good fertility. Suitable for different types of soils and climates, as long as they are not too humid. Recommended training systems: all also mechanizable, as long as not too tight. Biotype sensitive to spring frost and water stagnation where it shows phenomena of infertility, medium sensitive to oidium, less susceptibility to rot. It differs from normal Chardonnay as well as for the pink colour of the skin also for its greater resistance to botrytis. It is early in all of its phenological eras.
