Nowadays, thanks to its high adaptability, it has become one of the so called "international" grape varieties, that is the most cultivated in every part of the world. COMMENT ON THE CLONE
Constituted by the Geisenheim Institute, vigorous German clone, abundant and constant production. Very high fertility. Suitable for different types of soils and climates, as long as they are not too humid. Recommended training systems: all also mechanizable, as long as not too tight. Biotype sensitive to spring frost and water stagnation where it shows phenomena of infertility, medium sensitive to oidium and botrytis, less susceptibility to rot. It’s early in all of its phenological eras.
